hi develop EMIKA_GAMES, how are you?  I'm going here to ask you something, if soon when the game is complete if it will be dubbed in Brazilian Portuguese, here in Brazil we like FDTD a lot, I hope your answer.

Hi! I'm glad you liked the game. Unfortunately, the translation will only be in English and Russian, perhaps in the future I will be able to translate into Brazilian and Portuguese.

From Day to Day was a pretty enjoyable demo. It gives you enough insight into what to expect from graphics, sound design, story, and lore, leaving you intrigued and wanting for more. It accomplishes this through the great presentation of the environment - an abandoned, dilapidated house - effectively using light (or lack thereof) and sound effects. If you take your time, the demo will take roughly 20 - 25 minutes. It's divided into three parts: gaining entry to the house, exploring the inside, and witnessing more strange events inside the house three days later.

For some, gaining entry to the house may not even be considered one part as it involved mundane tasks to get inside. Then again, the entire demo consisted of doing mundane tasks, but trying to find a way inside was rather pointless and an exercise in futility. According to the story, the protagonist purchased the house to renovate and start a new chapter in his life. You'd assume he would've been provided keys to the house after his purchase, but that's not the case, you have to find the keys at the start of the demo. One could only imagine what the protagonist must've been thinking of driving to the house about how he was going to get inside seeing as how the realtor didn't give him the key. Then again it's an abandoned house, so for the sake of argument, you could say he assumed the door to the house would be unlocked. I realize these are petty details, but this is where it gets really nonsensical because, as it turns out, the keys are located inside a room of the house on the first floor. It's easily accessed by prying the room's window open using a crowbar. Finding the crowbar wasn't easy (it was for me if you watch my video), I've seen other gamers spend more time than necessary because the crowbar blended well in the dark. That is to say, the graphic's contrast is strong; dark areas appear almost pitch black, and areas lit with the flashlight are sometimes drowned out by the light to the point you can't see details. Once you pry open the window to grab the keys, you're supposed to use them to open the front door, as if you couldn't just open the window wider and climb inside the house. As I said, this was an exercise in futility, and almost seemed like it was insulting the player's intelligence.

The rest of the demo was great. The tension created in the house was strong because of the use of light and sound and how well-designed the interior of the house was. I recommend trying this if you want a great acute scare. I'm looking forward to the release, and in the meantime will feature on my channel the Locked Up demo. I have the full game of Locked Up but haven't played it yet.

PS. - The use of the Friday the 13th font seemed too silly for me. There's nothing wrong with it, it just seemed uncreative using a font that's so recognizable to a franchise.
(-1)

Thank you for playing! The demo version of the game is the backstory of the main game, so you have a lot of questions about why and where the logic is)) In the full version of the game, all questions will be answered.

The demo starts a few hours before the events of the main game. You will understand what all these actions with keys and door bolts were for)

P.S The Friday 13 font is a reference to the immortal classic. I try to perform the game in the spirit of the 80-90's.

(-1)

I'm even more intrigued now knowing the little details are addressed in the full version. I've wish-listed the game, and can't wait for its release!

(-1)

Oh man I missed you guys so much. Locked up was my 3rd video on my channel and boy was that a ride. This one was shorter but a bit more intense. Would love to review the full game once it is out. Drop me a line!

(-1)

Thank you for playing! I will definitely inform you about the release of the game!

(-1)

And back down the rabbit hole we go. I was a huge fan of locked up and I'm loving this one too. It's always a ton of fun to get scared in your games since I have no idea what's going to happen next. I can't wait for the full game to come out!

(-1)

Thank you for playing! I will definitely inform you about the release of the game!))

(-1)

Where was my mind at when I decided to purchase this house?? Haha Of course, I expect nothing less from EMIKA GAMES. The visuals and soundscape are on point. The spooks are terrifying, and not just surfacey jumpscares. The gameplay and mechanics are pretty fluid if ya wander around and get lucky with progress as I did, so a better way to navigate the player to objectives is ideal. But please, take your time and create something AWESOME! I'm super excited for more!

Great work!

Thank you for playing!!!)

Was a super great game! I especially loved the part where the lady in the rocking chair disappears as you move past the column, it brought me back to Senua and it was honestly super surprising and super impressive! Other than that, I think the atmosphere was pretty well done, and the noises were good! Good luck for the full game!

(-1)

Thank you for playing!

(-1)

I can't wait for the full version of it! I loved the atmosphere and looking forward to the story itself. :)

An interesting game. We had fun testing it.

Thank you for playing!

Looking good... looking great, in fact! Both the house and grounds look appropriately creepy, but better yet, it feels like a lot of care was taken to place every single object, big and small. What was the inspiration for your design? Because this looks like this could be a real place! I found this demo to be paced well too, which can be so important. There’s one moment of audio that gave me chills, so the sound design is also on point. I commend you for the work you’ve done so far. I look forward to the full release!

Thanks you for playing! I am very glad that you liked it! Please write your technical specifications of the PC. I will try to optimize the full version of the game even better.

(-1)

It was very good!! Fantastic work!! Looking forward to the full version that's for sure. I will also be playing your other game as well :)

Processor - Intel (R) Core (TM) i5-9300H CPU @2.4GHz

RAM - 8GB

Graphics - NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX

System type - 64-bit Operating system, x64-based processor

Is that all you need? I just copied what I could down, I don't know a great deal about PCs hahaha

(-1)

Graphics - NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX - ?

What series does the video card have?

Other characteristics are normal.

it’s NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 1650

I don’t know how I find out what video card it has hahaha

I was a big Locked Up fan and was really eager to try this new one!  I'll definitely get the full version when it releases. Cheers!

Pros and cons are down below) Check out my vid here (likes and subs are highly appreciated!)):

Advantages:

1.  This game is great! I played Locked Up and was impressed but this blew my mind! The pacing was impeccable! I loved that there were lots of scares but not too much at the same time. The way the game made the player turn around constantly was really cool!

2. I liked very much these subtle scares of things just being somewhere on the second floor or outside the window. Subtly watching... Very creepy!

3. The sound design is also very cool! The sounds made me jump several times!

Disadvantages:

I didn't like some particular moments that I'm going to mention below:

1. The way the lady disappeared behind the pillar was so weird. It would be OK if at one point she would be completely blocked by the pillar but because the pillar was so thin it felt weird to see her half existing.

2. I think after the player would see the lady on the second floor she has to disappear. Because it feels extremely weird watching the lady watch you back and having no second thoughts, no comments about that.

3. The lack of the main character's comments also feels weird. I mean, it's so obvious that this house means bad news but the main character doesn't care at all. Maybe in the full game, it wouldn't feel weird as the players would have more context, though...

Overall:

This was so scary! Great job! I can't wait for the full game, adding it on the wishlist right now! 5/5.

Hope my feedback was useful!

Really liked the sound design of this game. Every noise was perfect in drawing out the tension. I ran into a bug with the box somehow, but was able to make it work in the end.

Just like the previous project-the game is just perfectly made! The visual part and sound are amazing, I can't believe that this is an indie game! I'm already waiting for the full version of the game to enjoy this creepy atmosphere!

Thank you for playing, I'm glad you liked it!)))

Thoughts:

This game man, this game. Watching the game play back and it just doesn't do this game justice. I actually had to walk out the house like 5 times just saying, "nope nope nope nope nope" lol. And the now you see me now you don't effects work very well in such a tight environment. Really really nice atmosphere. I loved the sounds I saved two of the granny sound clips for later use. I can't wait til the full version or even just an updated demo.

And to anyone that may read this you have to play this game, it WILL give you those nope vibes.
